Berlin - SMP advised the Munich-based venture capitalist VSquared Ventures on the establishment of a fund for B2B deep tech start-ups. The anchor investor of the VSquared Ventures Fund with a targeted total volume of 65 million Euros is the Hamburg real estate investor Albert Buell. In addition to Buell, Sonnen founder Christoph Ostermann and Metaio founder Thomas Alt also invested. The focus of investment activity is on companies specializing in B2B deep-tech solutions. Over a period of five years, investments will be made in start-ups in the fields of New Space, Automation, AI, New Forms of Computing and Enterprise SaaS. Comprehensive legal and tax advice was provided to VSquared Ventures by a team around SMP partner Jens Kretzschmann.

VSquared Ventures is a Munich-based venture capitalist with a focus on B2B deep tech start-ups. Vsquared Ventures was founded in 2019 by Herbert Mangesius, Thomas Oehl and Benedikt von Schoeler. The team had previously been a successful VC investor with Vito Ventures.
