Berlin – Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) has advised the Berlin tech company Vimcar on its latest round of financing. The round was led by Acton Capital, a Munich-based venture capital fund. According to the company, the new capital will benefit the further development of the product. Vimcar received compre-hensive legal advice from a team led by SMP partner Benjamin Ullrich.
Vimcar is a Connected Car and Fleet Management start-up based in Berlin. The company's services are now used for more than 50,000 vehicles, including large companies such as Allianz, Zalando, Ford, Adecco and Deutsche Bahn. However, the focus is particularly on small and medium-sized companies with one to 100 vehicles. The company was founded by Andreas Schneider, Christian Siewek and Lukas Weber, who saw an opportunity for their own company in a research project at the University of St.Gallen (CH) on be-half of a German automobile manufacturer. Vimcar employs around 90 people.
