Berlin – SMP advised the European venture capitalist Speedinvest on the structuring of its second focus fund generation Speedinvest x 2. Speedinvest x 2 has received strong support from Russmedia and Styria Media Group from Austria, which are already anchor investors in the first focus fund generation. Speedinvest x 2 invests in Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A financing rounds of promising start-ups in the fields of digital marketplaces and network effects. A team led by SMP partner Stephan Bank provided comprehensive legal advice to Speedinvest.
"With various focus funds, Speedinvest bundles cumulative sector expertise. The success of this investment strategy was recently demonstrated once again by the USD 250 million Series C round of its portfolio company Tier Mobility. We are very pleased that SMP was able to advise the largest Austrian VC fund on the launch of its second focus fund generation of Speedinvest x 2 after having structured Speedinvest's current horizontal fund generation, Speedinvest 3, earlier this year", says Stephan Bank.
