Berlin - SMP advised the software company Jobpal on the sale of all shares to the US-based HR technology provider SmartRecruiters. The acquisition enables SmartRecruiters to gain access to the market for robotic recruitment process automation (RPA). The parties have agreed not to disclose any further details regarding the sale. A team led by SMP partner Malte Bergmann advised on the exit together with the UK law firm Withers.
Jobpal was founded in 2016 and focuses on the development of AI-based chatbots that automate communication between employers and applicants. The software company currently employs approximately 25 members of staff.
