SMP advises Dawn Capital on investment in Bryter

Berlin - SMP has advised London-based early-stage investor Dawn Capital on its investment in the LegalTech company Bryter. The Berlin-based company with a focus on the legal consulting industry digitizes repetitive processes and decisions and enables their automation. In addition to Dawn Capital, Accel, Notion Capital and Chalfen Ventures participated in the Series A financing round with a total volume of US$16 million. According to Bryter, the company intends to use the capital to expand into the U.S. market. Dawn Capital received comprehensive legal advice from a team led by SMP partner Benjamin Ullrich.

"This financing round is forward-looking in every respect. Despite the challenging circumstances caused by the pandemic, the investors trust in Bryter's "no-code platform", which has the potential to change the way an entire industry works. We are very pleased that we were able to once again support Dawn Capital as advisor in this transaction," said Benjamin Ullrich.
