Berlin – Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) advised renowned London-based venture capital investor Atomico on its investment in Berlin-based agri tech company Infarm. According to industry reports the Series B financ-ing round amounts to 100 million US dollar. Alongside new lead investor Atomico existing investors Balderton Capital, Cherry Ventures, Astanor Ventures und Triplepoint Capital also participated in this round. The newly raised capital will be used for further growth. To date the company has built 50 new farms per quarter. By the end of this year Infarm will establish 350 farms every three months. The transaction is one of the largest European financing rounds for young agri tech companies. A team led by SMP partner Benjamin Ullrich provided comprehensive advice to Atomico. Howard Watt, partner at the London-based law firm Sheridans, also advised on the investor side.
