Berlin - Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) acted as International Lead Counsel to Speedinvest, advising on the structuring of their third early stage fund of the Vienna-based VC. The total volume of the new fund amounts to EUR 190 million. As limited partners, Speedinvest attracted various familiy offices, private and public investors, including a range of high-profile players such as Erste Group and NEA – one of the largest investment companies worldwide.
"Given that we have been representing the Speedinvest team on their German deals for quite some time, we are very pleased to have assisted the largest Austrian VC fund as international advisor in structuring their new fund and thus having contributed to Speedinvest's international success story. Again, this project demonstrates SMP's expertise in advising and representing management teams domiciled outside Germany", says Stephan Bank, partner at SMP.
With portfolio companies such as Tier Mobility, Wefox, Legal OS, Holvi, Crate.io and Billie, Speedinvest has built up strong expertise in the areas of fin-/insurtech, industry 4.0 and deeptech, relying on a combination of vertical and horizontal fund generations. Speedinvest employs 40 investment professionals who work in five sector-oriented investment teams, as well as 20 operational experts who offer portfolio companies full service support for HR, marketing, business development and US expansion.
