Berlin - Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) has advised the recently founded start-up Planetly on its seed financing round. The climate tech start-up has raised 5.2 million euros from investors such as Speedinvest, Cavalry Ventures and various business angels.
"Stopping climate change is the greatest challenge of the 21st century. I am therefore pleased to see that well-known investors are recognizing the value of business models that address this problem – and are also backing them," says Peter Möllmann, partner at SMP.
Planetly was founded by two experienced serial entrepreneurs: Anna Alex, who previously co-founded the personal shopping start-up Outfittery, and Benedikt Franke, the co-founder of Helpling. The climate tech start-up Planetly develops digital tools that companies can use to calculate, reduce and offset their CO2 emissions. The fresh capital infusion will support the personnel expansion as well as software development.
