SMP has advised DEMECAN on its latest financing round. The company is the only producer and wholesaler of medical cannabis. A German entrepreneur from the consumer goods sector invested a seven-digit amount. According to DEMECAN, the capital raised will be used to expand their business and production facilities. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the deal. DEMECAN was again comprehensively advised by a team led by SMP partner Martin Schaper.

SMP advised the VC investor Project A on its investment in the medical technology company Amann Girrbach. Project A enters the company, which specializes in digital dental technology, as a strategic partner. According to Amann Girrbach, the company plans to further advance its digital focus through the accession of Project A. Project A was comprehensively advised on this investment by a team led by SMP partner Martin Schaper.

SMP advised Munich-based growth investor Acton Capital on its investment in The Female Company. Besides Acton Capital, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft and existing investors, Burda Principal Investments also participated in the financing round. The Female Company intends to use the fresh capital to further develop the fields tech & data as well as for the extension of its product portfolio. Acton Capital received comprehensive legal advice from a team led by SMP partner Benjamin Ullrich.

SMP has advised a fund managed by the Hamburg-based financial investor BPE on the acquisition of the Civil Engineering Business of the Switzerland-based Dätwyler Schweiz AG together with the management team via a management buy-out. The target of the transaction is the Dätwyler Sealing Technologies Deutschland GmbH (to be renamed „SEALABLE Solutions GmbH") as well as the associated real estate in Waltershausen.

SMP advised the Munich-based venture capitalist VSquared Ventures Management on the establishment of a fund for B2B deep tech start-ups. The anchor investor of the VSquared Ventures Fund with a targeted total volume of 65 million Euros is the Hamburg real estate investor Albert Buell.

Schnittker Möllmann Partners (SMP) advised the Berlin tech company Zenjob on its latest financing round. The Series C financing round with a total volume of EUR 27 million was led by new investor Forestay Capi-tal. The fund is part of the Waypoint Group of billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli from Switzerland. Participants also included the current investors from the previous round, inter alia Redalpine, Axa Venture Partners, Atlantic Labs and Acton Capital.
